Penn State Shenango Men's Basketball Signs Athlete Thomas McMichael

 

Sharon, Pa--Penn State Shenango Athletic Director/Men's Head Basketball Coach Andre Smith recently signed Thomas McMichael who is a graduate of Collinwood High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Thomas, a 5’11 guard, is a Junior College transfer from Cuyahoga Community College. During Thomas’s freshman year at Cuyahoga Community College (2009-2010), he helped lead the Challengers to the OCCAC Conference Championship game. Thomas averaged 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. His sophomore year (2010-2011), he helped lead the team to an overall record of 17-11 and an OCCAC Conference Championship. He also received several achievements, including the Sportsmanship Award, Team Captain, and Defensive Player of the Year.

Thomas McMicheal is the son of Vincent McMichael and Terese Walsh.

Coach Smith Comments:

Thomas is an experienced player with 2 years of highly competitive Junior College basketball under him. He played for a coaching staff that is very structured and disciplined, which I know very well. He will have no problem with our brand here.
